Grilled Caesar Burgers


Serves 4

Prep time: 10 minutes*

Cook time: 8 minutes

Per serving: 360 calories, 14g fat, 5g saturated fat, 80mg cholesterol, 600mg sodium, 27g carbohydrate, 4g fiber, 31g protein

1 lb. 93% lean ground beef

1/4 cup shredded Parmesan

3 tbsp. creamy light Caesar dressing

3 tbsp. garlic–herb seasoned bread crumbs

1/4 to 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes

4 whole-wheat hamburger buns, split

Toppings (optional): Additional Caesar dressing, roasted red pepper strips, lettuce leaves

  1. In a medium bowl combine beef, Parmesan, Caesar dressing, bread crumbs and red pepper flakes; mix well. Form into 4 patties about 3/4-inch thick.
  2. Coat grill rack with nonstick cooking spray. Preheat grill to medium-high (350°F to 400°F). Grill, covered, 4 to 6 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Place burgers in buns. Top with additional dressing, red pepper strips and lettuce (if desired), and serve.

Make it a meal: Serve with sweet potato chips and cubed melon.
