Exciting Plans Are Ahead for Zallie-Somerset

We’re so excited for the ways we’re creating a unique shopping experience for our guests!

ShopRite of Glassboro

A complete renovation is designed to meet the modern needs of guests, with adjustments to the layout, improved lighting, and new cases and shelving. The store will be the same size, but it will feel more spacious. Zallie-Somerset is committed to making these improvements in ways that minimize any inconvenience for guests. Tentative plans call for a Grand Reopening in November at ShopRite of Glassboro.

ShopRite of Cherrywood Plaza

We are replacing the old Kmart building with a modern ShopRite less than a mile from our current Laurel Hill location. With more than 75,000 square feet, it will accommodate a full-sized Order. Pickup. Deliver. department, as well as other amenities that are appreciated by guests of other Zallie-Somerset stores. That store may open by the end of 2023.

ShopRite of Center Square Plaza

Built from the ground up, this store will serve the growing population of the Woolwich Township area. At more than 75,000 square feet, it will be the anchor of a gateway development at the intersection of Center Square and Auburn Roads. It will include many new and expanded departments, including ShopRite From Home. We’re hopeful for a Grand Opening in 2023.

Those new stores will replace the ShopRite stores in Laurel Hill and Gibbstown. Closing a store is always difficult, however, the new stores will provide guests with a shopping experience that we cannot provide in the current locations.

ShopRite of West Berlin

The Wine Shop that has been within the West Berlin store is expanding to the former Hallmark gift store right next door. This change will still give guests the option to enter the Wine Shop from the supermarket, while adding the convenience of entering from the shopping center sidewalk. This exciting change will also allow us to renovate and expand the Produce Department at ShopRite of West Berlin.
